Default Vialle Gas Conveter

Hello Everyone.

Just a quick question.

I replaced my factory standard gas converter today with a Vialle gas converter because my car was running like a sack of potato's.

I have a AU Series 1, and never starts on petrol. But i would like to get my car to start first time on gas without having to crank it for a few seconds before it starts.

My question is, does anyone know anything about the Vialle gas converter and how it ties in with the cars electronics?

Cheers,

Will

You would be better off posting this in the LPG section (or having it moved there - RG??)

An LPG car is never going to start first turn of the key on gas - there is no gas in the intake at initial startup, so nothing to burn. The cranking is required to prime the gas into the intake, and then there's enough to light the fires of the engine. You are far better off getting it fixed to start on petrol. I guess your other option is to find the priming button on the converter (assuming it has one) and give that a push first before you try to start it (but with ignition on). Bit of a pain - I'd just go with the petrol start, or put up with having to crank it a bit if starting on gas (even my next door neighbours 2 BAs take about 3 to 5 seconds of cranking to start - both are e-gas)

The standard factory (tickford) converter is already a Vialle isn't it ,or was there other brands used as well? I know my SII factory dual fuel had Vialle.

Thanks for your input.

I think i might do the button idea.

With the the brand, i don't know what the factory one was, i don't think it was the same one. Then again, could be a different model.

Thanks

Will

Yeah all tickford factory converters are Vialle's.
Good job in getting another Vialle.
