Default More Power Out Of A 1600 xflow?

i havent done anything to it but what would be the best things to do to get more power without going to the 2l thanks for any help

You probably have a good idea of what you need to do but a good carby or even twin carbies, a less restrictive exhaust and extractor setup, electronic dizzy all these things make a difference. But for real power the internals are the way to go for sure an unleaded head, lumpy cam, forged pistons all this sweet old school power is very usable and without the lag of a turbo. But as the saying goes with power comes responsibilty. Make sure your suspension, brakes and tyres are up to the chalenge. Not to mention your diff and gearbox. Take your time, write out a plan of attack and don't be in a rush sometimes these things take years to finish. Keep posting your progress and asking for advice. Hope this helps bud.
