Default Paint Correction Course - Melbourne - Sunday October 18th c\o Final Inspection

Sunday October 18th - there is a PAINT CORRECTION course being held at Final Inspection in Campbellfield, for all of us car lovers who want to learn a little more about using machines to help look after our paintwork. The course will cover the use of both RANDOM ORBITAL and FORCED ROTATION buffers.

Thanks to Glenn (EXR8ED) from the ORSM Ford Cruisers club - he has done all the hard yards getting this off the ground - and now all of us from the AU crew are welcome to attend!!!

Spots are stricly limited!!! - maximum of 40 places in total. As of Monday September 28th, there were only 21 places left (this has also been opened on the detailing addiction forum). Already 8 places taken by Ford forumites, out of between 10-15 pre-booked spots!!! That means maybe only 7 spots left (perhaps even less!!)

DAY:
Sunday 18th October 2009

Gates will open at 11am for participants to park and get settled.

Clinic will begin at 12pm SHARP and gates will be closed by 1pm to stop anyone not involved entering.

Food (BBQ OR PIZZA not sure yet) is supplied along with soft drinks.

3 different buffers will be covered in detail with demos on use and each participant should get around 15 mins on each tool on TEST panels that will be scuffed up for you to pollish back.

There will also be a few different professional detailers on board to be sure all questions are covered and you should walk away at the end of the 3-4 hours with a solid knowledge and understanding both technical and practical in hands on paint correction.

On top of that there will be professional photographers there to take photos of the event and participants car's (so make sure it's clean!!!) and I believe these will be free for you to obtain copies of and will also be posted on the web in detailing forums.

This is in conjunction with the Ford Forums, there will be 12-15 of them coming along.
We will only have 40 people (maximum) attending, no more will be taken and that is so I can concentrate on making sure everyone attending has ample attention and gets the most out of the demonstration.

Everyone attending will have a hands on demonstration of 3 machines at the 3 different price points.

Machines Available for Demonstration

- Bosch GEX150T $450
- Festool ROtex 125 $775
- Festool ROtex 150 $925

Pads setup for Demonstration

- FI Orange
- FI Black

Polish setup for Demonstration

- FI CAP

There will be panels setup on Panel Horses for Demonstration.

We will hold this outside with either a BBQ and/or Pizza and Drinks or if the weather won't allow, Inside FIAB3.
The cost to attend this course (including lunch) is $40. If you DEFINATELY want to come, please click on the link below to go to the ORSM section and sign up on their thread. Glenn (EXR8ED) will then PM you bank details so you can transfer the funds (all pre-paid).

EXR8ED needs all funds transferred by Friday 9th October, so he can transfer all the funds to the Final Inspection guys in time.

I've already signed up, sounds like it's going to be an awesome day!
Hopefully a couple of you fellow AUfalcon forum guys can come, so I can meet some of you, and I won't be the only AU owner there!

PLEASE NOTE - Don't PM me asking to join the list, I'm not organising this, just helping to publicise it in our AU section, as I reckon it's a fantastic opportunity and I want more AU blokes there!!! :evil3:

Here is the link to the thread in the ORSM section.

Cheers,

Dave

PS - You do not have to be a member of the ORSM car club to attend (I'm not a member)!! This is for everybody!!!

If anybody else wants to sign up.....you have less than 24 hours to get payment through to EX8RED......places have all been taken, but apparently they can still squeeze in up to 5 more people.......
