hey guys might be a stupid question for some.
but how do i remove the gear boot? ive always had autos till now. unscrew the gear knob.... then what? some help please !!! cheers damo

need a little more details please. dont understand
unscrew the gear knob. then does the gear boot just unclip from the console?

no i am pretty sure you have to remove the console to detach the gear boot from it.

the gear boot is only clipped on but they are pretty tight clips... safer to take out the center console and push the gear boot out from underneath... to take the center console out
- 2 screws under cup holder - 2 screws under theother compartment infront of the gear boot - 2 screws at the rear foot wells (you have to move the seats forward to get at them)

you can pop gear boot out with a flat screwdriver be carefull and all will be good.

i found a useful post on the forums saying this too. thx mate here goes. if this works im going to buy a double white stitched one of ebay. and change my shifter to a te one

haha. ive done trimming before. upholsterer by trade.
just havent head down the motor trimming path yet. didnt even think to do that. guess ill be making my own one now. cheers for the idea!
