The NSW Government is now installing red light/speed cameras in one.
The first has already gone in at Haberfield. The new signage refers only to "Safety Camera Ahead" and there is only one sign on approach. It is planned to convert all existing red light cameras and some school zones. The government intends to install 200 over the next four years. The above list has the first 50 locations. More information is available on the RTA website at: http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/roadsafety...safetycameras/

Just another way to line the pockets of the government(s) of the day...
Here in Melbourne we've already got it bad....they installed another 50-60 cameras late 2009 in addition to the 100 or so they already had- they're bloody everywhere now.....you spend so much time trying to work out if there's a camera at the upcoming intersection, you lose focus on the road LOL At the end of the day, it's a Labor government thing, you people voted them in....big generalisation I know, but I don't think any Liberal state government would have gone there...
