Thats why you have insurance.
make a Police report and get the insurance to either fix it or write it off. |

There's no point in intentionally flooding out a car other than to cause damage. They don't benifit financially, it wouldnt be all that fun. They just did it for the sake of doing something, and will end up costing you alot. (I admire your positive attitude but I don't think it will dry 100%. Theres always going to be some carpet or foam etc up behind the dash which could cause some serious damage later on.)
You should just make a claim and see what happens from there, and as someone said, No Respect for weeds like this. Sorry mate

Sounds like they tried to steal it, and when they couldn't, put the hose in the car. Scumbags.

Call the insurance company.
It sounds like somebody doesn't like you ....alot. Stealing it, stripping parts, ok, low but business (in a sense) but caving in the roof and sticking a hose up the dash, that's just nasty and vindictive. Bushbasher

Really awful to find - sorry you have obviously borne the brunt of some disgruntled waxhead. I've read that there is some story that if you jump on the roof, the air displacement inside the car will pop the locks, don't know if that is in fact truth or just stupidity, but yeah, to flood your car like that sounds like malicious intent.
If it were my car, I'd be out there with a cattle prod chasing the scum, no matter if they were young and old, but by the stupid behaviour, this doesn't sound like a 'professional' car thief's attempt, more like local kids collecting trophies or practicing on stealing their first car. :( Shazz

I can see you're angry, hell, I know exactly where you're coming from, it's a terrible thing to have happen to someone. I'm just going to stray OT a bit and ask what your signature means, and if it is intentionally offensive?
I hope you sort this all out mate, having your pride and joy destroyed like that is horrible.

I also had some clown on Friday night jimmy my window with a screwdriver and screw up the door, however that was theft motivated while I was at the drags and nowhere near as much damage as you sustained. |

In all honesty, the question has been answered.
Dont stuff around with the car - leave it alone. Ring the insurer (you should have already done this) and make the claim, that is what you have insurance for. Your car is basically a flood damaged car - they Write Off flood damaged cars for a reason. The electrics that have been wet will end up corroding and not working, the carpets will go mouldy, the floor will end up rusting etc etc. Ring your insurer NOW - they take claims 24/7. You have the Police report, if not, get it and then ring the insurer. Leave the car as it sits, dont try and dry anything, dont pull anything apart, just leave it. They will assess the damage and then you can go from there. |
