A friend of mine is stuck in thailand phuket until the week after next. He really wants to watch bathurst next weekend? Does anyone know if it would be broadcast there? Under what channel?

I guess on the Aussie channel ??? The Bledislo cup was on that channel..

When I was there about 4 years ago, they have star sports - this had the AFL GF on it, might be the best bet.
If not, tell him to check out Justin.tv or eplsite.net or some other streaming website!

We watched the State of Origin on the Aussie channel in our room. Though there was also a gathering at the Aussie bar watching it that night, so try asking around.

Aussie channel is useless. when I was there they didn't show anything of value.
Best best bet would be to try the big aussie bar on bangla rd.

Mate, Best bet is to tell him to walk round the place, and wherever he sees all the Aussies at you'll find the 1000. When I was there It was obvious where the footy was being played due to the Aussies screaming yelling and pouring out onto the streets.

I spent a year in Malaysia a while back, and you may find that most bars have satellite TV that you can "negotiate" to watch.You would be surprised to see how many channels you can get on satellite.

Im currently in Istanbul, am I going to be able to get it on Bigpond? Last time I tried from London I had issues with it playing in my region. Just seeing if there is a loophole somewhere that will allow me. Should be great, race starts at 2am. =)
