Watcing TG tonight I saw a Holden ad with a green SS Ute going sideways and doing a handbrake turn...but hang on, there were a few flashes of Iced Coffee in there somewhere??
Very cheeky on Holdens part - bet my bottom dollar they funded that ad. Their marketing department really is a cut above |

Does seem rather comical that an Ice Coffee add can have a ute side ways and givving it stick but an add for the actual car cannot.
Good add BTW. |

You can win an SS ute by buying an Ice Break, been going on for 10years. The were recently showing the ad with the ute (VU SS) reversing at speed behind a truck loaded with ice break.
Love iced coffee but hate ice break.

I love my Farmers Union, especially since the new 750ml, but Ice Break is always a good replacement every now and then.

Never been a big fan of the product and while the ad is fun enough like most ads i'm yet to work out what drifting a hairdresser's ute has to do with ice coffee....

Holden utes have been in the older ice break ads too. Remember the ad where they try to nick the ice break from the back of a moving truck with the SS ute going backwards at like 100km/h?....

Remember back in '07, OAK had a limited edition anniversary flavour (sort of chocolate malt) and gave away a 1967 XR Falcon.

Yeah, interesting that they can show a car doing rooster tails but they can't show that on a car ad....

Masters (National Foods) in Perth have the competition below going, don't normally drink Masters prefer Brownes, but any shot at a '64 Mustang is worth doing

Too bad I don't drink iced coffee, that's a hell of a prize!
Anybody else buy way too many Zingers when KFC had the win a ute competition not too long ago? I was determined to win or have a heart attack trying. Luckily the latter did not occur.

So they allow an ad featuring V8 utes doing all kinds of illegal maneuvers whilst stealing from a moving truck, yet they banned the BMW ad where the Z4 was driving in circles with paint on its tyres because it was encouraging hooning.
The mind boggles |

What is a little more interesting (if I remember correctly) in the ad is that the Speedo reads Zero when they flash to it. The tacho is moving but the speedo is at zero so I guess they arent showing "speed" anymore. Though going backwards might have been a far greater issue... Edit: Just got me thinking, does the speedo work when going backwards? I've never looked... hmmmm...

Immediately I was upset about this promotion of terrorism, climate change and general public access to medieval siege weaponry. Just as well there was no reference to drinking beer....... |

Australia was the only country in which that ad was banned. It was also shown in most of Europe, North America, and parts of South East Asia. |

The more and more I hear about the PC police banning things, the more I want to get the hell out of Australia... but then I look at the alternative and things seem pretty damn peachy here in comparison.
