Default Ball joints - genuine or not?

As the title states, is it worth the extra sticking with the oem stuff or is the generic aftermarket stuff ok?

I'm about to do shock, springs and the ball joints next week, don't want to ruin it with cheap stuff if that's the case.

i have to say i`m a fan of the oem items, 182000 k`s i`m still on the originals no clunking wandering or bad traits as yet(touch wood), but i do keep them greased up.

Some mob that gets them made in china, alongside the non-genuine ones, in all probability.

Non-genuine these days generally refers to the packaging and not the product.

That's what I was thinking. The KOK brand seem to be ok. Used them on few fords over the years. Packaging says something like OEM since 1968. But was probably labelled under different well known brand.

KOK is the last lot i put in (last weekend, actually). Suspension place I took it to for an alignment said they use ford ones, but that once you take them out of the packaging, they all look the same.

Getting mine done next week also. Just rang Bursons for a price, $36.30 each is cheap enough.

Just checked ebay and they're only $40 plus postage! Cheap as! Where did you get yours from JC, ebay or a local supplier?

Not wrong but the same can't be said for headlights or tail lights when comparing OEM to after-market.
