hi i just got a 1999 au fairlane ghia white with black leather and tickford wheels the guy said it was a 351 windsor the engine capacity is 5000 on the rego papers i think they were all 302 windsors it goes hard its stock besides a 3 inch exscaust please help me thanks.

yeah mate i thought it was a 302 i got a great deal for it a 1991 pajero for it the fairlane ghia is v8 tick ford wheels white paint black leather 2nd owner log books big exscuast tinted windows king springs cd stacker imaculent whould it have a lsd diff or single spinner

Has the engine been replaced? What do your rego papers say about the VIN and the engine number? If the VIN and engine number match then it is the original engine and undoubtedly will be a 302 (5.0L). However if the engine has been changed then you can easily check it's displacement/stroke by the old wire down the spark plug hole trick.

As unlikely as it is, you would be a one lucky bugger to get a 351W fitted AU. Its certainly one of my wet dreams to fit a F4TE to my XR8.
