Any rumours about when the FG2 is coming?
I want an XR6T Ute but if there is a new one coming I might wait....

"Within 12 months, both new engines will power the facelifted Falcon, which goes on sale in about six months and is expected to bring a number of cosmetic and technical advanced introduced with the 2011 Territory due on sale in May." (from goauto.com.au link).
Looking at some of the innovations on the SZ Territory announced so far, electric power steering would be high on the list of potential upgrades for the FG2, as would a driver's knee airbag. |

Program timing I've seen indicates start of volume production early Nov 2011.

The steering parts we do are undergoing minor changes for FG2, but nothing substantial as per Terr upgrade.

I reckon that looks alright
What I was hoping from FG2 was better quality interior materials but most of all a beefier back end and driveline that might allow the GT to use some of its potential, currently it seems to have both hands tied behind it's back by the electronic nannies saving the driveline.

Guys it's fake.
Car advice got someone to do a photochop back in 2008 to see what the Falcon would look like if exported. I must admit, it looks better than all the other chromed up crap they sell.

I think it will be safe to assume fg2 will have the new Territory lights.

September/October as per usual when they launch an update in the 2nd half of the year.
If they launch an update in the first half of the year it is April/May like new Territory. Its been happening this way for a long time. |

Although they always make one so that it can be tested in the USA don't they? No surprise one's been photographed over there. So Falcon must have had LHD capability for ages. Problem is they wouldn't know a good car if it ran over them. It took a non-car man to see how brilliant it was (Mullaly). Hopefully he saves it... and still wants that G6ET.
