Default Importing large parts?

Anyone had any good experiences with specific freight companies importing larger parts from USA? Last time I imported a rear, fibreglass spoiler for my Javelin I used a vehicle importer in Melbourne, but it was under great sufferance to him. Cost me about $300 to ship from LA to Oz + freight from Ohio to his LA office. I'm looking at importing a front, one-piece fibreglass spoiler and wondering if I can get this whole thing done simpler this time ..
