Default Hypothetical - $10,000 to spend on a quick car

Hypothetical - $10,000 to spend on a quick car...

I am curious about this - and want to know opinions please...

Lets say you have $10,000 to spend on a quick car...
By quick - I suppose the main measure is something that would qualify as a 'hoon' car... 1/4 mile street dragger, high kw/hp, as fast as you can get for $10,000...

Here's the rules...
Car has to be for sale now (post the link from where you find it)
Modifications can be also added - but have to be listed in detail and priced (realistically - but not written quotes or mates rates/DIY...)

So for instance if you can get an EF XR6 for $5000 and turbo it for $2000?? Something like that

Very interested to see what anyone can come up with.... I'll be posting mine shortly...

P.S. This is only for Hypotheticals/Fun.... no need to argue or get serious...

This would be damn fun, useable for a whole heap of different motorsports and you've still got 2k left over for a quick spray or mods. It's definitely not cheap for what it is but there's a lot of work already done

Turbo rotary for a bit of fun - 350hp at the wheels, plus lots of cash left over for more mods.

I have a thing for nice, neat and standard looking VL turbo's. For $7,200 you can't go wrong. Would make a great track hack.

Cheapest way is buy an older Euro like a 92 e36 bimmer , ebay a 2jz and box and combine , after buying a few parts in and some adaptive wire harness and adding coil overs from Belgium , some used 17" Holden mags and decent tyres you have about 3k left and an 11 second car which handles .

Makes you wonder whether they are sick of getting their butts kicked on their own by a car full of blokes at 1/2 the fuel usage.

Reads... For Sale. Sore ***. Buying a turbo Ford.

I know I would...
