Clive Cussler used that vehicle in one of his fictional "Dirk Pitt" adventure novels, called "Atlantis Found".

You would have thought they would have tested it a bit more before making it to the Antarctic circle... Pretty dumb mistake not realizing that practically slick tyres aren't going to grip even though they're flabby and fat. Easily testable in both the US in either snow or mud.
