Just bught a BA XT for the Mrs. Was wondering if it is possible to buy an after-market ashtray, can't believe they make a car without one.
Thanks in advance.

They dont make them in cars anymore, as the majority dont smoke anymore. I believe it used to be an option.

Keep to the topic which is NOT the qualities of smoking.

There was a "smokers pack" option. This may be available from Ford as a spare part but will probably be rather expensive.

Originals from the wreckers etc. will be rare as rocking horse poo although there is an idea for a backyard business....

Don't worry it probably upsets a smoker who does the right thing, by not tossing their butts out the window, more than it upsets a non-smoker when they see this. Don't worry smokers are not the only ones who litter there are plenty of non-smokers who litter.

Anyhow does anybody know where to get an ashtray for a BA Falcon.

EDIT poor spelling

“Actually it was just call “Gull”, because I named it that. Because we knew it was going to poo on everything”.

The smokers pack option used to be available from Ford Spare parts at dealerships when the BA came out, which was the first model without the ashtray. It came with a lighter as well which replaced the power source socket, which is why Flappist said it was expensive.

someone i know just used an empty coke can because he didn't want to pay for an ashtray in his new ba when he bought it.

edit***

if the 'ashtray' is just a lidded cup that goes into one of the cup holders than maybe try hyundai or other manufacturers - my wifes new hyundai came with one. or as others said try a wrecker

As mentioned above, here's the Smokers' pack for the FG on ebay:

Not sure if it's any different to the BA version - are the cupholders the same size?
