Default WA drivers licenses

Was just wondering what happens if you get pulled over in WA and you don't have your license on you. As i always forget to bring it with me.

The law states you must have your MDL at all times when driving a motor vehicle, motor cycle from memory, they can impose a fine on the spot or give you a caution, and request you produce your MDL at any local Police station within 24 hours..

In WA you do not have to carry your drivers license unless you have an overseas, international one.

However you do have to carry and produce your learners permit or extraordinary license.

If you have a WA license you dont have to carry it. You can be told to produce it within 24 hours to a Police Station, but with the computers in car now they can sort it out on the spot complete with photo's, so dont try and use a mates name if you dont have a license.
