Hi all, I have bit of an issue with my AU 6cy powered Cortina. As the title states it wont rev past 4200rpm. we have tried both with and without boost to no avail. wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem and what they did to fix it. the computer controlling it is a Haltech E6X. any help would be greatly appreciated

Havent got a rev limiter at the moment ? Or Blocked Cat ?

Nope no rev limiter and full straight through exhaust. only drag car dont need a cat...

what's the history - is this something that has just occurred and under what circumsatnces did the problem first appear? Have you hooked up your laptop to the Haltech to view the fuel/timing/boost etc to see if anything has gone awry?

Being its a haltech ECU, i would say the problem is probably something more to do with ignition module/dwell settings. Ask haltech for help on there website.

Running the Haltech Igniter ?
Have you checked fuel pressure ? When you say wont rev past ot , does it missifre or just flatspot ?

seems to more just a dead stop no real misfire. It is a coilpack from series 1 AU. running a bosch triple channle ignitor. have had the laptop hooked up and checked the afr with a wideband etc. i'm guessing the problem has been there since we have had it running. it is booked in to be tuned this coming fri so will be interesting to see what they find. Thanks for your thoughts and ideas so far.
