Default carby issues on 1975 chev custom

hi all,
got a family friend thats had a few issues with the carby on her 1975 model chev custom 30 series. its a 292ci straight 6 with a single throat rochester carby. form what i've been told its flooding and wont run properly. it was suppose to be rebuilt a while a go due to a fuel leak, but it had a bodgey job done in it instead of the proper thing, and it didnt leak fuel again. is it possible to either:
A) get another one, or
B) get a rebuild kit for one.

if you wish to see pictures, let me know and i will post a few up.

cheers Kole.

AS above, but even if you lift the top off and make sure the nedel seat is working properly and the float level is OK then that should solve a bulk of your porblems
