Looks absolutely awesome! im sure the purists will have a cry (pass the kleenex) But is an awesome car. Would love to see a BA/BF/FG mock up wagon complete with transplanted V8.
Here's the Link. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Falcon-XW...item3cc4d2632a |

Ahh the good old days when ford made V8 wagons..... no wonder they were "cool".
Think the last V8 wagon was the EL? coupled with a 5speed manual in boring stock trim... Anyhoo the XW in the auction is very tastefully done! Love it..

El Fairmont Ghia V8 Wagon pretty rare but a lovely car. -Wish i had one!
One of the best/coolest ford wagons i have seen. that car above must snap necks! I know commies are not great $ makers per car sold and the VE has a crap boot but atleast it is still a wagon. Thought the taxi/telstra industry baught enough BA/BF wagons to stay viable? |

The last manual Fairmont wagon was the XE both in V8 and 6. Please note these are Fairmonts not Falcons, Futuras, XRs or whatever else. |

Maybe fifteen years ago one of my sister in laws had an XW Falcon wagon which they had bought off the original owner. It was nicely optioned...power disc brake front end, 351 Windsor, floor shift auto, white, black interior. From what she said, the old guy still drove like a demon. At the time he was 75 years old and had just bought a new SS Commodore...
They only paid $2500 for that car, and sold it for what they thought was an amazing price of $4000 when someone walked up and made them an offer in a supermarket parking lot. Wonder what it'd be worth now? |

I recall seeing a beat up one around the southwest here a long time ago. It's was white with green GT striping, and a black hood, and I think it had superroo stickers. Would have made an awesome resto. As for the one in the OP. The wheels need to go.

I wouldn't normally like those spoked wheels applied to something like this, but in my eyes it somehow it comes together for me and works ok. Kind of surpised myself there. Must take all day to clean them though...

Scoop was only there to provide cooling to the brake master cyclinder during racing...

Sorry, I'll go against the trend, don't like the wheels, they're nice wheels, just not on that car, get rid of the droopy tail pipes and the petrol cap looks out of place.
I know picky, but it's still a great looking car, paint and interior look awesome.

Those wheels would be very hard to live with if you used the car as a daily, which I would. I would be really worried though that the car would be flogged by one of the increasing number of lowlifes that think they may take whatever they want! I reckon it would make ownership somewhat worrying! GK

Hard to please some of you guys...
But damn that's a nice car, I personally think it all fits, as most would agree there's no perfect combo to a car when it comes to looks. Oh and the mention about Shannons above. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1970-Ford...0&cmd=ViewItem Not bad, wish I had some cash right now, I'd consider it.

I still don't understand how you can have the same car listed on eBay twice at the SAME time, but anyway...
and I vote for the 12 slotters aswell
