Default Validity period for an NSW identity and safety check

Hi all,

Does anyone know how long the identify and safety checks in nsw are valid for?

I checked the rta website and only found validity dates for pink slips (42 days) and blue slips (28 days) but nothing for an identify and safety check.

Thanks

Never heard of them ... I would have thought a Blue Slip is the one you require though.

Best to look here to found out the sort of Safety check needed:

Pink Slip = eSafety Check

Blue Slip = Authorised Unregistered Vehicle Inspection Station (AUVIS) Going on the blue placard given for this ... it states it's an Identity Check / Design Check / Defect Notice Clearance check.

So chances are it is the same as a blue slip...ill call the RTA tomorrow and let you all know if its the same.

My mechanic was a bit vague about it - i think its a new system.

Spoke to the RTA - they are the same as a blue slip and valid for 28 days.

I thought so.

Yeah ... when pink slips went online I think they changed the naming of it all.
