Looking at buying an XP ute in Sunshine Coast, I'm from Wagga NSW.
Can anyone suggest a cheap, quick and reasonably safe car carrier?? Or would I be better off hoping it makes it to drive the 1,300k's? Cheers, Milesy |

It will cost you at least $1000 to get the car transported as it will have to go from depot to depot on the way.
If the car is registered and roadworthy then drive it. Bring a mate, an esky (for water of course) and just do it over 2 or 3 days with overnighters at country pubs. I drove 4000km in 2010 in an XP and 4500km in 2011 in an XY on mostly dirt roads and had an absolute ball. |

The drive, me and a mate bought a PE courier from the Gold Coast and drove it back to Perth, then up to Karratha

STAY AWAY FROM CEVA MATE.
I had started a thread in another forum about them, they damaged my ute and are trying to wash their hands of it. Front bar, undercarriage, rims, and rear bar. Enough said. Brisbane to Melbourne. |

I should have mentioned that I was going to drive it, but was convinced not to due to potential damage, hindsight is evil!
This is just recent also as I am still going through this with Ceva. |

I have used CEVA, no issue and I thought they were great value.
Very nice near new car from Townsville depot to Sydney depot (via Brisbane depot). Took a bit longer than I would of liked but apart from that they were great. Online tracking, good communication and car showed up without a mark.

sparky dave, its on another forum so dont think its allowed.
290_boss - yeah it is, but they claim they didnt damage so whats their insurance got to do with it? I am in a battle at the moment with the dealer and Ceva. Dealer claims handed over in pristine. Ceva claim their brisbane depot receive it in its current condition, i am yet to find out what happened between the dealer and ceva brisbane depot and proof of their claims. its also hard to inspect a car when its raining pretty heavy and the idiots double park in the middle of a busy office centre and try to unload whilst other cars are going around with stuff all clearance. I also didnt consider $600 including GST to be a premium. If i flew there and drove back, my cost would have been much more. Flights, fuel, wear and tear, and my time. |
