This is the best supercar dealership... in the world
We meet the owner of Alain Class motors - and his £80m showroom A man in a kaftan and keffiyeh headdress has just picked up my hand then dropped it like a stale roll at a buffet. He leans towards me slightly and makes a promise: "Think of a car - any car in the world. I can get it for you. Price doesn't matter. You want it, I'll find it. Then you can buy it from me. And drive." Said man is Abdullah Al Ketbi, owner of Dubai's Alain Class Motors. And all the while he's suggesting that our newfound acquaintance has earned me access to the world's most rarified supercars, he's surrounded by what can only be described as... the world's most rarified supercars. He flicks four fingers at a Rolls-Royce Ghost dismissively - "This? Cheap car" - then beckons me towards the shinier end of his marble-floored showroom. "We have lots better," nodding his head left towards a Lamborghini Aventador, then right towards a one-of-six Koenigsegg CCXR. http://www.topgear.com/uk/photos/ala...rld-2011-02-03

Most definitely one of those places where asking the price would be seen as the height of crassness.....

I know I'm being picky, but they really need a great Detailer in there. Most of the cars paintwork need Refinishing and just general detailing, some of the glass is shockingly dirty.
Dave, Dave @ Obsession Detailing, Rancidpunx, where are you???? Last edited by gossy; 16-12-2012 at 09:28 PM. |

That place is awesome. Look at how much stock they have, amazing. Also amazing that they have some brand new cars that are a few years old now.

Like a kid in a candy shop .......... times 1,000,000,000!
Such a dealership devoted to fine cars should at least know that a BMW M1 has an inline 6, not a V6!

When I went to the Goodwood festival of speed last year they had an Aston Martin one-77 Q on display. There was a guy in a suit next to it, just to keep sticky fingers off the windows Im guessing. A fairly casually dressed guy said to the suited guy “so what’s the damage for this then mate?”
Conversation went………………… “This car is not for sale its for display purposes only”, “come off it mate, everything’s for sale it’s just a question of price” “this car is the original prototype, and definitely not for sale sir” “if I wanted one, at any price what would I have to shell out, roughly?” “roughly sir………….1.6 million pounds plus V.A.T.” |
