Default BA or BF

BA $13k will cost me roughly $1000 to go pick up and bring home.
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/List...x?id=546229486

BF $14.5k car is local.
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/List...x?id=551241469

Benefits of the BF
6Spd
Slightly Newer
Better Valve Springs?

Is there any issue with the extra 62000Km??

I would go with the BF anyway. They also have a little more power and torque than the BA as well.

I think the BA should be priced around $10000 and the BF could be dropped another couple of thousand. I would buy neither. IF you could get the BF down a couple of grand, then maybe the BF.

If I were you, I would be patient and ONLY accept a BF with 100,000km's. The 6 speed auto is a BIG advantage, but 162k is a LOT more than 100k, especially if you plan on adding a few more. At 100k you might be looking at new suspension bushes, shocks etc..., but at 200 you start to get into territory where turbo rebuilds are a possiblity.

When I had to make my decision of BA vs BF, because I was looking at 6 speed manuals, it wasn't worth the extra $3k+ for a BF.

Repair cost dont really bother me too much as I work part time over the summer at a garage, and if turbo core is replaced I will just get bigger one.

Well if repair costs are no consideration, km's are basically irrelevant.
Go the BF then, better gearbox, more refined car, and not a bad colour either ;)

PS. Post 06/06 onwards BF Turbo's had stronger rods from the FPV / LPG Falcons.

The orange effect youre talking about is probably due to the camera flash.
