Its a four door. They *might* build a two door later own, I'd probably be a bit sceptical about that as long as the BRZ is in production though.

Side mirror looks awfully small

Otherwise, i like.

They won't make a 2 door, otherwise it will eat in to BRZ sales. You might get a turbo BRZ, but not a 2 door wrx

About time it looked sporty. To me WRXs were overrated. In the nineties it looked like someone added a bodykit to a Meteor. Didn't get the attraction. I don't care how fast a car goes or how it handles, if it looks daggy what's the point?

Looks like they have stolen an FG boss Bonnet and made it in to a letterbox.
As for the rest of it....

They have never handled very well either. Massive push on understeer, followed by more understeer.

I think it looks great though I doubt it we will get anything near to it. They could offer 2 door and 4 door versions like they have done previously.

Massive push on understeer is quite an exaggeration and you have to be driving really bloody fast for it to be any trouble and you'd still be better off than most cars.

I think I would just get the BRZ over that.

A turbo BRZ would be ideal though.

Let's see how much of the design actually makes it to production, i'm betting not much.

Looks great, I say ditch the BRZ because its the Toyota lexcen of the badge engineering (yes I know it's more complicated than this but for arguments sake) setup (I've not seen one Subie branded Toyobaru, but 100's of Gt86 Toyotas), and hve this in a 2 door and 4 door.

It looks absolutely fantastic and if Subie actually pull their finger out their butt and derive from this concept something which is actually desirable and enjoyable and mad for the first time since the 22b then I could see myself being sucked into one. It's really really nice looking, but I can't see Subie actually putting this into production, it'll end up another half baked coulda been if it would been, fat chunky American market chaser like the rest of their lineup (and Honda's) has become.

I saw one of those BRZ's on Thursday in traffic at Cumberland Highway Smithfield (NSW)
In the blue colour, I was impressed.

I agree, I own a subaru so I know how they handle. Understeer isn't their problem, it's lift off oversteer around corners.

I agree! Having owned one for about 12 years (my wife still has one), with its AWD it was one safe car to drive.

Sure they understeered but a slight lift off the throttle corrected the line so you could mash the peddle again. But a $200 stiffer rear sway made the handling more neutral if one so desired.

My wife's WRX suspension is still stock and if she was driving it and my XR50 back to back at a skid pan, I bet she'll loose it in my car way before she'll strike any trouble (if any at all) in her car. Be even worse if I turn the traction control off on the XR50.

I assume that's the actual Suburu car, not a journo/CGI impression. I like it, looks like a very wide waist above the rear wheel. The front air dam looks a bit ricey Toyota Celica-ish and lets it down. But what else can they do? I would like more of a solid-looking lower front end.
