Default My Mk2 2door Cortina

Hi everyone,
Just thought I would introduce you all to my project car. This is my first project car and I am looking forward to the challenge. I have had a bit to do with my dad’s 3 1969-1970 capris and really love the old fords. Unfortunately at the moment it will have to wait til I finish my university studies. Hopefully I will have a chance to do a few things here and there on the car. Here is some info on the car:
Mk2 Cortina 1967
2 door
1500 pre crossflow
Manual.
It has original paint and has a fair amount of small dents in it with one major one in the front left quarter due to one of the previous owners taking it bush bashing (not sure what ill do to fix that yet). It has some rust and will post some pictures of the rust sections when I get a chance.
I want to keep the project fairly simple (but that could quickly change) and am interested in any information, advice and comments as to what modifications I should look into.
(sorry about the image quality)
Thanks.

Cool!
Corty's are good little cars.
Guards pop up on evilbay fairly regularly - I'd be inclined to change that one unless you are a very adept panel beater
Although this is a Ford forum, most of the talk is about the larger ones.
You should join one of the Cortina forums where that's all the guys (and girls) live and breathe.
Good luck with it.

Hi LG,
I have a list of parts I'm after. I am constantly looking on the net and hoping to grab a few bargains. hopefully I can get most things before I really get stuck into the project. Will have to have a look at a few other forums as well.
thanks.
