Number 1 car is 3500 sales. Ten years ago the number 1 car was over double at 7500 sales and number 2 was 5500. How spoilt for choice can we get. Will be good for ranger to start beating the navara also. Don't know how that many people can choose one

The Captiva is strongest illustration of the cache the Holden brand has in Australia. Why anyone would buy one of these ill-proportioned korean **** boxes over a Territory beggars belief.

They are actually not too bad when the series 2 made changes to the suspension and steering, I prefer it over cars like the XTrail and previous Outlander. For 30 grand for a diesel 7 seater I can see why non-motoring enthusiasts buy them.

Cruze certainly looking healthier and good to see Camry up as well (from an Australian manufacturing perspective).

Still predicting 900-1000 for Territory.

Hey those Focus sales and Ranger sales are nice and consistent.
Good job Ford, two world class products leading the way.

good times ahead. New kuga will be good for 700-800 units per month. New Mondeo next year will help as well. Good to see Ford Going Further!

The Captiva's numbers are unfairly put together. It would include Captiva 5 & Captiva 7, which are 2 different SUV's. It is like adding the Territory & Kuga numbers together.

Pretty average numbers for the Mazda 3 & the highest selling car with only 3,500 units.

I agree with Kuga, which should move Ford back into 4th ahead of Hyundai. However, the new Mondeo is not due out in Europe until the 2nd half of 2014 & due locally late 2014 (even early 2015).

Also we should really add Falcon ute to Falcon sedan to get an accurate picture of Falcon sales.

Yeah, if they want to just add nameplates (Captiva 5 & Captiva 7) together, then add Falcon sedan and ute or GMHolden Commodore sedan, wagon and ute.

Solid result for Territory. Another disappointing month for Falcon sedan and ute.

Falcon sedan and ute now have 5 year & 200,000km warranty and sharp pricing. Trouble is you have to go looking for the deals to know that these offers even exist.

On the Ford website it is now
* $35,490 XR6T Ute
* $30,490 XR6 Ute
* $39,490 XR6T Sedan
* $33,990 XR6 Sedan

Those prices applied to 2013 model manuals.

Wow - go Terri!

My old man is due for a new car around August this year and I'm desperately begging him to get a Territory Titanium.

He's currently got a Subaru Tribeca, which he loves and of which he wants to get another. Every car he's had before the Subaru has been Australian-made.

Didn't they stop making the Tribeca a while ago?

No, I think they are discontinuing it in North America but production is still continuing for other markets.

Or maybe it was the fact they are not doing another one, and letting the current model stay in production until the day it no longer sells enough for it to stay in production. They definately aren't doing another one.

Not at all. To put it simply Toyota did the hard yards early and I know for a fact that it would be a PIA for my company to change to any other product from a logistics perspective.

During March, Ford was offering heavily discounted XR6 Turbo sedans and Utes for near on XR6 prices,
I have this great fear that performance buyers are moving on and that I-6 turbo sales are not that great anymore..

I have suspected for a while that the XR8 brought people in to consider a performance Falcon (especially if they are considering a Commodore SS) they then end up leaving the showroom with a XR6 turbo after seeing/reading reviews or doing their own comparisons and test drives.

I think the Falcon range is a lot worse off not having a XR8 halo model to bring potential performance buyers in.

I also think with the loss of the XR8 the XR6 turbo has lost its trouble-making image. Remember how the XR6 turbo had a bit of a bad-boy underdog image because it used to kick sand in the face of the slower and heavier XR8?

Was there a reason for low Falcon? 700 is woeful. Stock issues?

I would think with Holden running out of Commodores that Falcon would have bounced up a bit.

700 Falcons sold, thats 175 a week, wouldn't that be less than one a week per dealer, Aus wide ???
Its a good thing they have Fiesta etc plus other brands to survive?
