They signed a 15 year deal on that sign... Their bringing the xr8 back just for some ROI on that sign.

Hasn't even been confirmed yet. If its going to be basically a GS , can't see it being under 50k.

What are the possibilities of it being a naturally aspirated 5.0. That is, if they are bringing it back....

I'm guessing that if the GS was 55k then it might come in at 49-50? It will have to have a premium over the XR6 Turbo. |

Will there even be a FPV version of the FH Falcon?

That's the $1000 question. No one knows, but from current rumours its a no.
We will see soon I guess.

Will it still look like an xr6 but with a bump on the hood?

When did an XR8 really look any different to an XR6?

I'm curious if there has been one solid lead on whether this car will exist or not, or is it all smoke and mirrors generated by journo speculation? Will Ford actually feel the need to continue V8 production under current circumstances? The Miami is some piece of kit....might it make sense to leave a black hole in the FordAU V8 world prior to the arrival of the reportedly N/A Mustang V8?
If the V8 exits, what would they do with the 6T as a last hurrah? Or is a last hurrah even on the cards?

If there is an FH Falcon, there will be an XR8 (but no GT or GS)
There is still money to be made with the V8.

The GT is still a bit of an unknown at this point, it still may continue without FPV bodywork, or be replaced with an XR8 Sprint. One thing for certain is there will be no unique FPV bodykit.

Don't get me wrong, as a enthusiast I hope the above posts are all correct. I just can't get a handle on the economics of how XR8 would have to be priced to compete in SSV/Redline territory, a sliding exchange rate which has to affect the Miami (surely not a cheap engine to produce), and the Australian publics reticence they have eternally shown in recognizing a good thing and handing over their dollars. I'm just not sure it's a given it'll happen. Hopefully Dearborn can give us one last financial leave pass on this one, if 'FH' holds up to its promise from the sneak peek I'd be in the queue with you

I know salesmen are as reliable as a pair of old socks, but I had my car in for a service yesterday and asked if they got many FG xr8 utes through the yard. He told me you dont see many FG ones, but to hold out for next year when they re-release the xr8 for the final run. Hope hes right.

Whatever happens, I just want them to make a Falcon with 429 kw and for it to have BOSS 429 on the bonnet.

429 kw is about as relevant to 429 ci as having 429 Ford employees who worked on it. If the Fiesta had 429 employees making it (under their boss), could it also have "Boss 429" decals on it? I mean, seriously. If you want a Boss 429, just have them stick a 7.0L V8 in it and be done with it.
