I get the idea of it being a waste of a coupe. But honestly I think its great to see out side of the box thinking. I think its great that someone is doing something so different and I honestly can see past it all and can see that it would possibly look good when completed. Perhaps even with a full width fairlane rear light setup. Bit of good old aussie stuff ya allness (not a real word I know but meh haha) here. Would seriously think of it as a project but to many cars as is...

With things like these, you just hope that the Coupe was in such a sorry state to start with...
It eases the pain. It is funny though, when you have Coupes with the guts cut out of them for drag cars or show cars that are admired, yet this is a waste. Mind you, the BA front just doesn't work at all...

Who's to say it was a good shell to start with?
This persons foresight may have saved another one from being lost forever, who knows. |

I really dont like it. But i give him credit for having the balls on trying something really different! Remember it's his car/project, he can do what he damn well likes. But good luck in selling that

Its a cool concept for a BF coupe. Im kind of glad the old corty in the background hasn't had a focus grafted onto it yet though.
But I don't get it when he says:- "It will be able to be registered as a xa coupe once completed legally but have the drive, feel and reliability of a modern car with a tuff old school look." I don't think a BF Falcon is "old school" yet. |

Maybe we should do a group buy it to save it? Like performancemods(?) forum group bought that infamous yellow Taurus (but without killing it with fire, dont wanna kill the shell! The pics in the ebay ad show its in pretty good shape)
Points for trying..but...IMO XA's shouldnt be chopped for outlandish ideas unless its rusted to absolute hell. Ive never seen a Falcon with the front/rear chop of another Falcon from another era look good.

As horrible as it looks, that hardtop shell was probably stuffed anyway.
