With Shell Oil selling to some outfit called Vitol or whatever, where does this leave Coles leasing their service (?) stations

Vitol will keep the Shell branding and their agreement with Wesfarmers.
From a consumer perspective. Not much will change. If anything, hopefully they invest a bit in their retail outlets. Our closest shell servo is a POS. |

Many of the oil companies in Australia does not have petrol stations and lube products.
For example Woodside Petroleum, Apache, and ENI. Chevron doesn't have their own gas stations either, but apparently has an interest in Caltex. Very interesting to see that 'Shell' gas stations no longer will have anything to do with the international Shell company that explores the oil and gas from the ground. (Also does this in Australia). |

While Shell Aus is offloading their downstream interests in Australia, their upstream investments here are still going ahead.....
For instance Google “Shell Prelude”
