Tried a search but didnt seem to show up much. Just wondering if anybody has any experience with trying to source cars out of the states. I'm starting my research early in the hope to find,source and import an oldsmobile vista cruiser towards the end of the year, beginning of next. Don't laugh after something out of the ordinary and nothing like a "good" sized wagon haha.
Only problem is they are thin on the ground when you to web searchs. SO was wondering if anybody has any websites that would be worth finding and contacting.

Would be chasing a 1969 Vista like that white one, but in the bronze colour and with the wood trim. Having said that the white one if you could get it cheap enough would be a good start for something....

From my experience,don't even think about buying anything from there unless someone you trust 100% has looked at it first.A lot of US sellers will not mention any bad points in their ads or will just simply lie,and that includes dealers.Avoid any car described as being freshly restored or having fresh paint because their paint jobs are mostly rubbish that deteriorate very quickly and some of their bodywork is truly horrendous.Anything described as "investment grade" is yank-speak for priced way over market value.
There are companies that you can pay to inspect a car for you but you may find that their interpretation of a good car is a lot different to yours.

Thanks to all that have given pointers. Sounds like a good excuse for a holiday. I'm very specific but open minded if that makes sense. Got at least 10 months to decide on what I want in the end just trying to figure out the best way about it. Also after something out of the ordinary. Which poses it's own problems I know but who doesn't like a challenge right.
