Default Ford Family and Friends Program on again

For those that are interested, it sounds like Ford is running the Family and Friends Program again. We purchased an XR6T through this program last year. When they ran it then pricing was Ford Privilege Club pricing + $2000. You still need to know your pricing those as the dealers still try and boost their profit margin.

To qualify previously you needed to know a Ford employee (not a dealer) who will then give you a form to fill in. I assume the process is the same. You get negotiate your price with the dealer. The completed form gets sent to Ford. Once approved you pay and drive away in your shiny new Ford.

So for anyone in the know can you please answer the following...

Is it only on built stock in the system? ie no ordering.
Ford only or is FPV included?
What is the promotion period?
Is the process the same as before?
Is it still Ford Privilege Club pricing + $2000?
What is Ford Privilege Club pricing for a manual XR6T sedan?

Thanks Doc. When you say ordered and delivered, you can't get one built to order can you? Although I doubt you would get it before the end of July anyway would you if you had it built to order?

Does it only apply to certain build dates?

Yes, I think its everything prior to May build.

I don't think there's much specialized stock out there, e.g. XR6T with luxury packs are non existent as are G6E Turbos. Ford just doesn't build these cars for stock anymore and dealers are too fragile with Falcon to order them.

Would absolutely love it if an employee could sponsor me for this. After a new territory, and this is perfect timing!

Not positive but I do know the bulletin was sent out to dealers around the 22/05/2014 and apparently stated that it was only for built cars. So you couldn't order one now for June build to receive the discount.

I'll confirm later today.

Looking at SUV's for wife, neither the Terriotory or Kuga are on the list as she's a little anti Ford given earlier experiences but if the price is right, it more than likely would change her mind so i'm interest in the pricing if somoeone in the know can post them up or PM me?

Kuga doesnt get this pricing (its only on Aussie built cars).

I don't know the lead time but if you can order and have it built and delivered by 31 July you should be OK.

Taken straight from the document.

One can only assume they are still finding it hard to sell the low numbers are they are currently manufacturing.

So there is no mention of a specific build date Doc?

Not as far as I can read, I think it boils down to the car needs to be in the hands of the buyer by 31 July. Maybe a salesman or dealer staff can let us know, what is the current wait for a factory build. When I ordered my G6ET back in 2008, 3.5 weeks from signing order to driving off the dealer hand over room.

I received a Friend of Ford form yesterday and by the afternoon, signed for a Lightning Strike G6ET that will be supposedly coming off the production line late June.
Works perfectly for me and wouldn't have purchased without the assistance from a Ford employee.
After 4 years with my current G6ET, I'm still cobsmacked as to why there aren't a bucket load more sold. What a great car, luxury, SSV killing performance with a stealth look.
I've been going on site at the Campbellfield plant for over 25 years, and it is really depressing to see how few cars can be see on the line and then going down even further as of next month.
If you can get your hands on a "Fiend of Ford" form, you'll find it's well worthwhile.

Congrats. Back in 2008 I took delivery of our Ego G6ET, 2 days before my birthday and (not sure how I waited) 2 days later on my birthday I actually had it for the first time all to myself and needless to say increased my heat rate to a level that nearly made me dizzy with delight. If not for a devoted wife in love with our SZ Terry I too would be ordering another G6ET......a package of the best balance of sensible price, performance and luxury ever to be engineered in this country.

This is perfect timing for me also as looking at a 2014 TS Territory. Has anyone got the pricing in regards to the 2014 family and friends program... Might go to a Titanium if the pricing was right?

Speak to the person giving you the Firend of Ford form.
He / she should be able to give you the full break down.
Plus Ford are also giving over $5k in Factory bonuses as well.
Drive away G6ET for under $43k is a sweet deal in my books.

XR6 manual is $30,246 drive away, TX Territory petrol RWD is $33,886 drive away. They are the only 2 price examples I have, so not sure about any other models.

What are the factory bonuses?

Do you have pricing for any Falcon models?

"Factory Bonus" is simply that, a further price reduction to tempt the purchaser.
($5k presently)
G6ET can be had for under $43k drive away brand new.
Hope this helps, but as I said, any Ford employee can give the break down on the other cars within the range.

Hi all, just a follow up from my previous post. I have bought a Ford Territory under the Ford family and friends program and pick it up in a couple of days.

The car is a 2014 (May 29 build) SZ Territory TS RWD Diesel. Comes with Metallic paint and partial leather seating.

Price was $39,300 Drive Away (same car last year was quoted $47,600).

Anyone else bought anything under this program? Please describe purchase and cost so people considering purchase have an idea of the savings. The program runs until the end of July.

Anyway, pretty excited to be picking it up, and a nice little saving to boot!

I think I have one left, but you would need to find out wether there are any in stock. Ask your dealer and they will let you know if any are available. And you would need to hurry, cars purchased under the program need to be delivered before July 31.
