They need to find something boring with no personality.....a Whingecup Holden Malibu might be the right fit.

they should put a runner up trophy on the back instead of a chequered flag.

Yeah because Ford/FPV have never put a special badge and different stripe package on a car.
It'll probably be a decent bit of kit with some extras thrown in for no more than a normal SS-V.

Well at least there's not a "Tander" edition that has a big vertical gap in its grill and has a "Thanks to Bridgestone, Toll, Mobil, Holden, HSV" sticker on the back of it.

Apparently it comes with different rims, type pressure system, better brakes, bunch of rice sticker, badge and embroidery crap and an invite to red bull HQ. Limited run of 161 with #1 going to lowndes.

They also did Ambrose and Ingall edition XR8s.
I'd be offended if I were Whincup, he deserves a model named after him far more than Lowndes does. And before people say the CL edition would sell better, I'm not sure about that - love him or hate him, JW is a very well respected driver and has a huge fan base. |

Did they do a version when him and Skaife were dominating for HSV? Bit late now considering they recently launched a 'line' for Collingwood supporters.
Just doesnt work for me considering half the grey hairs he has came from driving a Ford. And its available in Red 'Chilli' only. |

If Holden fit the 6.2 to the ss before the demise in 2017 it could be a very attractive offering. A genuine alternative to xr6t or new xr8.
A ss with 6.2, full exhaust and can package and tuned for a nice 320-340rwkw.. Yummme No good releasing a lowndes edition with just different sticker pack and minimal trim differences |

Personally I think it looks better than the HSVs.
Though I suppose to some that’s not really saying much. |
