Gotta love America !!
"WALDO, Fla. (AP) -- The tiny town of Waldo in north Florida has such a notorious reputation as a speed trap that AAA erected billboards to warn drivers about it, but all that may be about to change. On Tuesday, weeks after the police chief and interim chief resigned due to state investigations into ticket quotas, mishandling of evidence and other issues, Waldo's City Council disbanded its police force." https://au.finance.yahoo.com/news/fl...105100625.html

Should disband VicPol. They sound about as useful as the police force portrayed in that article and even when your own safety is at stake, with clear evidence, they insist the person on your case go out and do traffic duties and apologize that they are understaffed and many other people's safety are at stake too. Guess thats how they financially sustain their police force too...

Sounds like you blokes should sign up for the suit of blue and sort it all out for them - I've heard they're recruiting . . .

It isn't the blokes in the blue suits that are the problem, it is the blue suit itself and all that it has come to stand for...

Our local councillor had a big fight with the CEO of VicRoads because they were putting speed cameras all over our main highways but none of the $$$ was coming back to us for road improvements.

Sadly it's not the police's fault but they cop the blame. It's our government that is to blame, signing up to the police force will simply make you a tool to enforce the very thing we hate

Whilst Speed camera revenue has no direct flow on to roads and driver education the collection of money by our police force will always lack cred, it's a terrible shame that the police are seen as tax collectors, the government is addicted to this revenue as addicts are to ice.
