Well covered in the Focus area. Whilst thats close it isnt the actual car. But some styling cues are very close to what ive seen today.
If anyone wants to stay up tonight http://www.gofurtherlive.com/ I will be. Excited if im honest.

Hmm, if its AWD, it needs to be faster than A45 AMG. If it's FWD, it will need to fend off Civic Type-R and Megane RS. Tall order either way, but I'm sure they wouldn't release it unless it was brilliant

Doesnt have to be faster than an AMG. If its priced lower and its not as quick then it doesnt matter.
But if its cheaper than an A45 AMG and faster, well thats an even bigger win.

The RS linage of Fords have their own identity and loyal following and have more pedigree than the A45 AMG which has only been on the market 5 minutes.

At least this comes in manual unlike the A45.
30K pounds so we're looking at least $60K here, which is about $10-15K cheaper than the previous RS. |

Ken Block has been campaigning to Ford for 5 years for AWD. It has now happened 330bhp and AWD Focus Rs.

The RS will rival the Golf R, WRX STI and Audi S3 more than the A45. The A45 is a monster really though, in it's own niche a little. With the expected power being upped with the revised model (something closer to 300kw), it isn't something Ford need to worry about. You don't see Falcon needing to be faster than an E63 or M5 because it is RWD.

Not sure if serious. Last RS was the Mk2.5 body, this is essentially the Mk3.5. The body is the same silhouette but that's it, this isn't 3 door anymore either. On the old RS, between the bumper and Mk2.5 lights it looked like the Mk3 lights, but they changed to something more like the Evos concept for Mk3.5.

Tend not to listen to fgpsi much...but anyway....
Sound's like a weapon, looks like a weapon and I can't wait to see Ken Block treat it to some thrashing.

Kudo's to Ford for going 4wd with this RS, i hope it sells like hotcakes globally! Looking forward to reading the compare tests against its competitors in its segment. Congrat's to the first AFF member to buy one in advance!

LV was a prelude to the LW anyway. It previewed the design direction the LW was taking.

wow, this being AWD should mean it now competes with WRX not A45, but damn what l would do to own one hehe hopefully it'll be below 60k although that's probably wishful thinking.

It looks awesome and apparently won't be limited build either which is great news. Good to see they have gone AWD too.
It will be interesting how this goes against the STi both on price and performance. Subaru might be in for a scare here still having old engine, less power and less torque. |

I recall in 2010 , I had the F6 Tornado , and the service manager called me , and had offered me the Focus RS .. It's was tucked away in it's own glass room , and no one could get near it .. I took a step closer , and it was like walking towards a wild animal , never too sure , whether the barrier between you and it would be sufficient to protect you from it's bite .. I was sure , if had been given the opportunity to get closer , the RS would have bitten .. The thing in BP Lime green looked it just escaped from the tiger enclosure. I wasn't allowed near it unless I fought up $55,000 - drive away ..
I had driven the Subaru WRX - STI , Golf GTI , and wasn't comfortable shelling out $55,000 unless I got to sample what best could be described as a road going WRC car .I passed . If Ford bring the RS , and make it available to the masses , i see no reason why , it won't be accepted ... Could you imagine a 300rwkw Ford Focus RS in AWD |

it's the same difference as the BF 2 - FG is this RS focus is based on the new focus body just try and fit any of it's body kit to the old RS and I bet not a single thing lines up just like BF 2 - FG.
