Default Device on dashbpard

Hi all,
I have this device mounted on my dashboard and I don't know what it's for, it's a cylindrical shape about 1.5cm in diameter and about 7cm long.
on one end it has a few led's that flash in your face for several seconds after startup and it has a 3 digit display on the side with up and down buttons obviously to control or set something.
sound familiar to anyone?
I'd really like to know what it is.
Thanks.

Hi. Sounds like it may be a shift light. Might need to google it to work out what brand it is so that you can set the point when the lights flash to suit your driving style. Cheers MD
