I do not have a morbid fascination watching other people's demise. However I do see the educational benefit of seeing how some people have met their untimely death and believe all learner drivers should watch these to see how easily one can find themselves in life and death situations. Does anybody agree that this would be beneficial?

I suppose the best way to answer that is: would you be comfortable with many other people watching someone from your family dieing on video? Not for me...

as per super but also how often?
most will likely forget it in 6months. then add in the fact that you show the same thing over and over you get used to it so the video will need to be refreshed. being young means your immortal and a belief of it won't happen to me. |

You may not always find such videos on YouTube.
As an example: Car Hits Bus Head On Causing Fatality http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=188_1433547918 The driver later died in hospital Just be aware that liveleak contains video footage that is generally not suitable for media viewed by the general public. Generally the site shows footage of insurgents being killed by coalition forces.

YouTube is great because it provides us with countless examples of "what not to do". Humans are social creatures, we learn from one another but experience is always the best teacher. A lot of people are convinced they're invincible and nothing can stop them until that notion is proven wrong... it's important to note that many do not get second chances so learn all you can from the mistakes of others.

I have a vague recollection of having a visit from HWP and Ambos in the final years of high school, where we were shown pictures of actual crashes attended (no bodies though), and they spoke about the circumstances of the accident and then having to go inform the families.
