Gidday all
My names Michael, I'd like to introduce myself and offer greetings. I'm gonna start off with the only moan you'll ever hear from me. I finished up 22 years of marriage last year, I came out of it with my sanity, my skin, my balls, the dog and love of FORD. The only things in life you can truly rely on!! That's it, enough said I feel SSSSooo! Much better. Now I need a project, on a walk-about (cursing that mad-beautiful *****) I spotted a Single spinner Ute 1951? (hence 'come in spinner'). She's in the open, behind a shed I can't get close to her yet, and I know the bloody farmer is gonna think she's worth the mint. What I need to know is how much is she really worth, what's a 'suit restoration' worth these days. At this stage I don't care if she's rusted half away, but through the spy glasses I don' think she is. I'd appreciate any advice. I'm left with HER bloody Mazda and I just have to get rid of that. Thanks for listening Cheers |

Dogs, boats and women------ in that order. You're doing pretty well with a list of 5, are they in order of priority? Can't help with the project, takes me all my time to change the oil in my Falcon ute. |

Thanks mate, I know I can trust the dog but I don't trust my balls, all they want is trouble and women, and I haven't got a boat or the ford. Think I'l start looking for a boat

Definately a good idea to get a project happening assuming that you now have extra time without the ex whinging & the storage space to work on it.
In regards to your poll is it about the car or the ex? |

Unless your set up with a full workshop it'll cost probably $50,000 minimum to get a mild restore on something that old as the spinners had rust issues that are hard to see , and it will have mechanical issues , if you want one it's better to buy one allredy built, faster , cheaper , less trouble and you will be able to spend more time cruising, the world is your oyster now your free, don't let another woman( the spinner) take over your life , cheers

Welcome to the forum Spinner. By all means investigate the single spinner behind the shed but from your brief description it could turn out to be a money pit that will consume your dough faster than your ex.
The Cusso put up by Snowcone ... http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1953-Ford...kAAOSwll1WyFHH ... is a known driver and worth a look. Could save you a lot of dosh. |
