So it's basically like the last one but with more toys for Rice Boy Slim and his dog Mugen to play with.
As if texting, playing with their i-whatever and checking their hair 'style' in the mirror wasn't enough distraction already. Russ Cheers Russ

Wonder if people will complain that its interior looks a decade old and the handbrake is on the wrong side of the console

Having flogged one of these around a track to the best of my very limited ability (Las Vegas exotic racing) and a Merc SLS, Audi R8 and Ferrari 340, the GTR was light years ahead. I can remember thinking how am I going around this corner so fast without crashing it. Mind you the SLS was audio gold. If I had the money it would be a GTR before anything else despite being as ugly as a hatful of...

Hello 2007 all over again... And FG-X cops a beating for having the same interior for the last 10 years.. Go figure. Still trying to figure out why nobody has yet created a Lamborghini body shell replica kit for the R35 chassis like some have done to the MR2, at least it would be as fast (or faster) than it looks.

The GTR was never a good looking car to me - it was adequately handsome. If I jag a lottery one of these days, it would be one of the first high priced items I buy, simply for the sheer drive.

Speaking of insecurities have you seen the new "targa" / RF MX5?
Its unreal. Id kill for a targa Porsche but the MX5 looks the goods.

Insecurities? Not sure I follow. GTR Mark Skaife/Jim Richards. I have disliked GTR since then. I would drive a pink Beatle mate. And my daughters would think I am a boss.

Mechanically, it's THE best value for money "supercar" on the market. Period.
Aesthetically, it's just a DAMN shame. AWFUL! Why did Nissan/Nismo made it look so damn ugly!? Can't help but think if Nissan had put more curves in the right places, this thing would be an even bigger hit. A lot of people saying they love the car but hate the looks. Even some owners of the R35 GTR! The 2016 Mustang shape and lines are similar to the R35, but the Mustang looks 10 times better. Not saying that just because it's a Ford. It just does. Nissan just got it wrong on the design front. R35 GTR: '16 Mustang: Last edited by Tickford.; 24-03-2016 at 05:54 PM. |

I like the fact that the GTR doesnt look like anything else. IMO all the hyper/supercars are starting to look the same which is why its great that the 911 and say the Lambo's stick with their heritage.
I cant fathom why anyone would bag this car, or any car of this level. I too think its a bit to safe, perhaps too good, and Id rather the unrefined RWD aswell but you cant deny the results this thing gets.

If it were my money that I laid out, I'd still take a Porsche, GT4 Cayman would be nice in the price range or if a little more a GT3 (RS).

It's performance credentials are not debatable. Looks are subjective but I love the way it looks and it sticks out in a good way as far as I'm concerned.
It's not pretty like a Lambo or Ferrari but then again it costs no where near either. Focused entirely on performance first, the rest second. But for me at least in the looks department it does enough. |

Would be interesting if they made a LM edition that was RWD like Lambo does with their -2's.

It is an absolute weapon, that can turn a cabbie into a driving god, but it comes at the expense of fun. I swear each iteration of this car gets uglier than the last. It started out as a handsome car, but I reckon it peaked long ago and its become change for the sake of change. Have a go at those wheels for eg, they are shocking compared to the very first ones. The older red one linked looks better I reckon, but maybe its just the clumsy over sized Mustang making it look better by comparison. These used to be such a lustful thing, now they're just meh at best. Shame |

Unless you're a flat brim drifter you only use it before and after you drive it, so why have it so close to hand. Not sure what that dial is, but if it relates to driving the car, its probably a more appropriate thing to have close by |

Love the look of them and they drive very well. Most haven't driven one. Also have driven a GT3, Dream car.

Hate these chrome inserts they added into the headlights and grille. The headlights look like the ebay junk people buy for falcons/commodores. Rest of it is bang on I think. No idea why America advertises it with that interior though.
