If this thing is anything to go by, its not April yet!
https://www.carsales.com.au/editoria...-leaked-105500 Its from carsales so not 100% on the validity of the source but yeah...WTF. Literally sad face, Ford were on a roll for a while. New contender for the worst looking mustang? Always thought the Grande was a bit odd looking.

Most if not all facelifts or new models appear to get mostly negative feedback initially. You only need to look at the FG X thread as an example. So far I actually don't mind it, but I'll wait to see it in the flesh before I judge properly.

The Mustang II was unforgivable. Thankfully in the 90s the Ford Mazda Probe never became the Mustang, as the beancounters wanted, or else the mustang would not be with us today. |

The king cobra is a gutless bucket but looks kinda cool. But by the same token the Mach1's of the shape I posted are sweet too.
Still, cant figure out why they went from something so tough to a bit sad looking.

Yeah,it's alright, the new style looks very "stealthy" as in stealth aircraft look with angled leading edges. I think I'd really need to see it in the flesh to make it a fair comparison.. Marketing is very clever, lots of muppets "have" to buy it coz it's the new shape.

I think the current model looks better in the flesh, although it looks great in images.
I don't mind the new look so much, but so far am preferring the current model. The 2018 loses some of the meanness, going from muscle to sport. |

There's a video on FB which Ford uploaded with 'The Rock' presenting a 2018 Mustang GT to a war veteran and it shows the car having a digital dash similar to what Audi has.

I'd like to know how much power the direct injection V8 has.

Plenty of images on the Ford website.
http://www.ford.com/cars/mustang/2018/ I like the customisable digital display, but part me still wants a little stick that moves, just in case all that digital stuff goes kaput. Which is funny, because now I have a digital speedo, I love it and I always want one, but I like that there's something to fall back on if the screen goes dark. |

I only looked at the link and have not referred back to a 2016 one and could not tell you how they are different... |

About screens etc, I miss being able to change the volume of the radio via a knob. Now I need to scrambled for the touch screen or use the button on the steering wheel which means punching the button numerous times to get it to the level I want.
Perhaps not something that I ever thought about but the analogue control of functions was nice.

I don't mind it, the pictures in the caradvice article look pretty good especially the silver one. The V8 will get more power and a 10 speed transmission, that doesn't sound bad.

I do often use the steering wheel controls, but I suspect in a car like the Mustang, I'd soon miss being able to reach over and giving the knob a quick twist. |

I'm coming around to it today, but the lights look like they came from a Hyundai Elantra.

Looks a bit Aston Martin to me in the elongated nose but yep........not the most subtle of styling tweaks. Revised rear suspension with more power should put it up the totem pole for performance. Whether the 10 speed auto helps or hinders is to be seen I guess

Looks hot! A decidedly more "business" looking face pulling in some Audi and Jaguar at the same time. Well done Ford.
Problem is that I'll now have to wait for a 2018 MY to get it |
