I'm currently helping out a friend who has a ba xr6 turbo sedan
Started out his diff was gone so being himself he went 3 hours away for a $500 ba diff center not sure what's in it but its good! Problem is its a m78 out of a standard ba its all fitted in the cradle and back in the car MAIN question would be is there a way to get the m78 diff to connect to the m86 tailshaft or if I swap to a standard m78 tailshaft will that connect straight up to the auto? I've heard standard tailshafts won't fit the xr6t auto. Need the car back on the road and starting to run low on funds for it so can't just get a new m86 diff center that's got as much work done as this one Any help would be great thanks |

The yoke might have a wider bolt centre diameter, but you can change them out anyway.

Thanks I forgot to mention that I've taken the old diff yoke off was tricky with just the center rolling around on the ground but got it but trying to get the one off the new diff in the car has been days of trying everything and won't budge the car is on stands at the back but not much room under there
I've tried braker bar and even bought a impact gun and air compressor just to get this one nut still nothing so running out of money and options Is there is a easier way of getting the diff yoke off? |
