Picked up an Aurion that at low speeds has wobble through the steering wheel, and can generally be felt through the car. Have replaced the wheel on one side with the spare (and will do the other side in the morning) to eliminate possible faulty tyre/bent rim, but i noticed that this doesnt look right. Im hopeless at suspension terminology, but is this a lower ball joint? Does it look stuffed? Would this be the cause of steering wobble?

Had the tyres replaced by the dealer and within 6 months the problem came back again, it would also pull heavily to the left to the point where it would climb against camber if you were in the right lane of a dual lane road. Front left looked like a 50c piece within 10k. Had one mechanic say balance and wheel alignment, had it done, no change, had it done again, no change. Suggested worn control arm bushes. Took it to specialist suspension place, NOT Pedders, lol, diagnosed 3 seized shocks @ $450 each. Took it to my regular mechanic, he said no probs with shocks they are stiff on the Sportivo. Control arm bushes ok too. Whilst he was looking at it a rep came in driving one identical. We quizzed him about his and he had experienced the same problems with no known cure even by Toyota themselves, said he just rotates every 5k and the tyres don't chop out as quick which reduces the wobble at low speed but eventually they are all stuffed. Cars now done 135k's, current tyres have 20k on them and are wearing within reason with 5k rotations, probably get another 10-15k from them. Having said all this, its the only fault we have experienced and tyres is something many of us neglect to get rotated so not surprising it shows up on these cars. Other than that, its been bulletproof. |

Just touring SE. Yeah it pulls to the left like you said, but steering feels sooooo heavy, then it quickly wobbles left and right. Tyres have roughly 40% left, wearing evenly.
So you reckon 2 or 4 new tyres will fix it? Or even just going front to back with the current tyres? I do like this car though, looks beautiful, enough grunt for daily duties, but my falcons never wobbled like this.... |

Yeah give them a rotation and see how it goes, it may be that the rears have already been cycled through the front and may already have slight uneven wear so it might not make any difference but cant hurt to try.
The Wifes Sportivo has the factory 17's which probably exaggerate the problem. |

She ain't no ball joint. She be the suspension pivot bush, which is flogged. Futile rotating wheels until that baby is replaced.

I heard they had issues with all that power, wh n targeting the F6 with Hulks input some corners needed to be cut.

in the meantime, it seems putting the front wheels to the back has all but eliminated the wobble, so gotta get issue sorted before it kills all the tyres |
