Pics only...
https://www.msn.com/en-au/motoring/n...edgdhp#image=5 Looks like a mix of all the current utes on the market - which I guess may be a good thing?

The word "Kelvinator" comes to mind.

What a beast! I bet it'll have some wheezy crapola halal spec engine like all Chinese cars though
When are they going to start making engines bigger than 4 cylinders and 2L? |

They will probably never build bigger engines than that. They are smart enough to realise that within 10-12 years cars will be either electric or small I.C.E

Yeah, I'll believe it when battery technology improves because it hasn't done a real good job of improving over the past 100+ years. |

It looks like its made mostly from plastic, like all other modern cars are. And as far as modern cars go I don't like the immense amount of plastic used in modern cars, but with this Chinese one they've taken the use of plastic to the extremes. Ie, "More is better".
That front grille is nearly a complete block off of the front radiator. Formula for chinese cars: #1 Steal from foreign cars. #2 ??? #3 Profit!!! I would expect more from a car because when you sell a car you are meant to be taken seriously about safety at least you are here in western society. But in China that isn't the case. That fact makes me want to throw up that they are not taking passenger safety more seriously. I wouldn't trust that gear stick lever either. Poor Chekov. Google "Anton Yelchin killed by car" to find out more. Last edited by gooseneck; 26-07-2020 at 02:48 PM. |

Might improve faster than you think. Focus on battery improvements have only really taken off in the last 5-10 years. Previously the focus was more on the devices it was driving. Problem with current lithium-ion batteries is that it relies on graphite, one of the dirtiest resource to dig out. The only real profitable mines are mainly based in China, I'm guessing due to less environmental restrictions. The ute looks ugly imho. But so did Kias and Hyundais when they first came out. Aren't we the biggest importers of chinese made vehicles? Might start to see a few around soon enough. |

the wheel/tyre size looks completely out of proportion to the rest of the car.

I think it is time Aussies stopped buying stuff from China
We have helped make them financially strong and they are now wanting to take over the world by using bully boy tactics....they are doing what my dad said years ago ...they will take over using a cheque book...and a virus!!!.....they dont need to use guns. we need to start buying from other places and importantly manufacturing here even if it cost a bit more per item - we need to buy Australian - tell them to stick their ute...after all we invented the thing |

I'm with you on that. Lets start converting all of our older cars over to 85% ethanol/LPG dual fuel and become self sufficient with a cyclical economy.

I agree,
its about time Australia was a lot more self Sufficient. Why import some car that's only going to fall apart on Australian roads in 12 months or doesn't meet Australian standards for safety. |

Seems to be a common trait of many of the larger utes and 4x4's.
