The latest with the 4-cylinder is just another boring sedan in my opinion. Sounds like an entry level hot hatch, except this thing costs $200,000 on the road.
However, it's not like those hot-vee 4.0 V8's sounded good anyway, especially after they had to start fitting GPF's to the exhaust. The whole appeal of the C63 has been the thunderous, the-world's-coming-to-an-end exhaust note. Those 4.0 V8 sound like crap. Seems like buyers didn't care, they just wanted 8 cylinders. The last good C63 was the one with the 6.3 V8. You know, the one that sounded like a real V8, no fake crap pumped through the speakers or that horrendous low bassy fart-pop-hiss that BMW and AMG think is what a V8 should sound like.

I open my window whenever I see an AMG with the M156 engine. They sound awesome.

They sound very rough at idle and at low revs, and I don't particularly like the sound of them when turbocharged, that includes ALL 911 Turbo and GT2 models, as well as the 3.0 Turbo that has been the base engine for years now. But...................those GT3 and GT4 engines are to die for, especially the GT4 RS and that manic 8000 to 9000 rpm rush. Although, the exhaust sound is a bit meh, its the cabin noise that counts.
