there is a car yard in Brisbane that specialises in the AU and BA kitted up Fortes and XT's

He seems to have a good turnaround in stock so someone must be buying them

or

AU Cobra

Is this guy for real. An SR with a body kit for $25,000. Dan Struggled to sell his Turbo Au XR6 with all the good stuff for $25,000. This guy is trying to sell his car for $25,000. I think he spends too much time with his hand down his pants.

I'm thinking of going the way of cobra stripes on my AU. I think silver or white stripes over the body should look great. Well I guess its a personal preference really. But something like the AU pictured above.

looks good .. cept i wouldn't have the stripes on a T series ..

wheels look sh*t!!!!!! ... wheels arcs are way too big to look decent.

no one wants neons on a hot performance car.

not to mention its a 6 cyl ... so if ppl drag it .. there gonna think there beating a T3. which i hate to see/hear about.

not to mention u could buy an au .. whack that whole kit on it .. for under that price tag.

load of crap .. and my 2c :P

great Idea!!
I have always thought Cobra stripes offset to the left hand side would look great on an AU XR6, silver or white over the dark blue of mine would look good I think

Gosh I how I wish they never made copies of the T3 bodykit. It has cheapened the T3's to the point of no return. Here's hoping no one never, ever, EVVEEER!!.. makes a copy of the T1 and T2 bodykits, still the best looking AU's IMO.

That car looks pretty slick, but the neons and clear tail lights ruin it for me. Shame it's only a 4ltr.

Bucky, if you're gonna go Cobra stripes, they've gotta be fat. None of this pinstripe sh1t.

Bucky,

I've done a photoshop job on my brother's black AU XR8 with the 2 red thick stripes over the bonnet and then another experiment with them on the sides. Red on black looked like crud. White or Silver would definitely be the go.

If you still have the pics, I'd love see how it turned out. Red and black is my favourite footy team colours.

If you could email it to me, that would be great. dwaynewoodhouse@ozemail.com.au

I love the look of the stripes on your car. I just think cobra stripes add a little extra something to the look of a car. Especially the AU's

Might be time to get stuck into a photoshop or 2.

I've seen about 5 AU's now with the cobra stripes now.
