Well here goes the story...
After much shopping, looking at several Falcons from an EF all the way to a BA, I had a nice AUII Forte lined up for $7000... and was on track to buy it. And then I get a job that requires a commercial vehicle... So I've gone and bought myself another van.... A 2000 Ford Econovan Maxi. 4.4m Midwheelbase auto. Like our 95 model was before it. A/C, central locking, a tape deck... no power steer though. 101,700km on it when I got it a few days ago (almost 102,100 now). Haven't got any pics at the moment (lack of digital camera makes it an issue) but I will sooner or later. It's a one owner, full log books etc. Looks pretty much brand new inside. Very clean, runs really well etc.

Good stuff.
I'd be ditching the tape deck pretty quick tho. A nice mp3 deck to help out with the tunes would be the first thing I'd be buying.

Get a basstube and chuck it behind your seat, those things really crank in vans.

In all seriousness though, great buy, I'm sure theyre bloody reliable as (I knew someone whose still got one from the 80's all beaten up to beuggery with a stuffed trans and still goes!), and will give you years of faithful service. Just get a stereo on it, and see if you can put a BA front on the thing like that blueprint toyota HiAce that was posted here a couple months ago! |

Thanks for all the good replies btw guys. We've had a good track record with these things (my dad's first one - 88 model - 404,000km, the 95 model did 510,000 - 430,000 of that on the original motor/trans), so I'm pretty certain this one will go well too.
