Default Commodore V series names....

So far Holden have used the following V's for the Commodore:

VB
VC
VE
VH
VK
VL
VN
VP
VR
VS
VT
VX
VY
VZ

Do you think they will run out, and if they do, what will happen then (assuming the Commodore is still around then, or even Holden)

Pure speculation, but VE then VF (valiant is a memory now for most people)than something new, i really cant undertand why they use V anymore, V was the old opel commodore/senator platform, the new car should be the Z (Zeta platform)something, ZC then ZF commodore sounds like a good start to a series for me.

The models were given the V designation because of its GM platform code.

It would have been a good start to a series if Ford hadn't used the code extensively already

Problem is just about every two letter code has been used at least once.

How about V6A and V8A through to Z? Or how about the "All new Holden Commodore VJEKSMJSALWEMDC" lol.

They may do they typical thing and just use year models soon, rather then a lettering sequence - FFS - It's not even in sequence really (it is, but with massive jumps, and from the VE release, it won't be)

AU because the marketing department thought it would be a great idea, AU (Aold) AU (Australia) AU (.com.au) etc etc. AV wasn't chosen because they wanted to get away from the AU image.

Why does it always have to be two letters?

Why cant they have like the V1 Commodore or something?

Or even like the Skyline R31,32,33,34 etc?

You would worry if they called it the VD Commodore.... referring to the medical aspect of those 2 letters.

VZTRT - nice play on words Do you work in marketing?

Remember it works both ways, Ford avoided the BC to avoid the obvious holden jokes and not advertise the fact that the leaf springs in the Wagon have been around since before christ.
