Default Finally found a new toy

It's hard to replace a car like my old XD Mr Juicy but I after months of research & deliberation I finally did it last night.

It's a Series 2 TE50 manual & is still pretty much the way it left Tickford back in 2001, how long I can keep it that way remains to be seen. Some of you may recognise the car as I bought it from a forum member. Haven't had a chance to take any photos yet so I've just borrowed the ones from the for sale thread I hope you don't mind.

This is my entry into AU & Tickford ownership & a pretty nice introduction I must say.

Nope the stroker was only for the T3s this makes do with a 220kw 5litre, doesn't get along too bad all the same & their is always plenty of room to improve on that figure down the track.

Nice looking machine, mate. I love my XR8 but when I bought it TEs were still pricey. But please don't do anything to that great looking exterior - TEs are sacred.

Nice MRJUCY!! Welcome to the T-Series family. That's a neat ride you got. Hope fully the changes to come is under the bonnet only, because that's the only thing it's missing. The looks beat the T3's by miles in my opinion.

What build month of 2001 is it? This will help determine if it's one of the sought after T2 TE50 alloy headed manuals. There should be 103 T2 TE50's with the SVO Y303 alloy heads. How many of them were manual.. I don't know??

Yeah, more people are starting to like the look of them. This means the resale value will rise and they will start selling well (2nd hand) too.

012 I prefer the look of the series 2 myself but I can see why others would prefer the more out there T3, I just wish I had their grunt but that's easy fixed & then some.

It's a July 01 build so no alloy heads for me so might look at a set of AFRs for it in the future depending on what way I decide to go with it.

Great buy. You should be happy

I think the T2 body kit has a sense of style about it. The T3's have a different look. More of an agressive style, where as the T2 is something that would slot into traffic and not draw too much attention to it. I'd take either.

Nice T2 on Car Sales at the moment . In my colour too.

T series are imo a much understated car. Although I prefer the Series 3, there is something appealing about the 1 & 2 series sleeper look. Well done and congrats :voldar02:

I missed this thread altogether but just wanted to say welcome mate- It's a pleasure to have a man such as yourself in the family....

Sorry for the loss of Jucy mate- I was a long time admirer of the car and read the features in the mags- followed it with great interest.

You won't go wrong with that car mate- looks to be a great example! You'll have fun modding that!

hahaha- you will!
