Winter is always the best time to enjoy a drive. Ive owned 200sx,wrx and now the XR6T and they all went better on a cold winter night and worse in stop start traffic during summer.

Cold air is great for any car. The difference is quite notable in even a non performance car.

I noticed a real pickup in the EL. I only run it on 95RON.

You guys noticing a drop in economy though?
I am guessing with intake temp sensors, it would pump more fuel in with cold air?
I could be wrong though.

You'd be pretty right, cold air, dense air. Dense air, more fuel.

Hence why truckies (well, some of the ones I know anyway) like to drive at night, especially in Summer when the air is denser.

Denser air= more fuel AND more efficiency. Not necessarily less economy. Usually the opposite. Especially in Diesels.

Spot on there old son (from a former truckie), that is what a turbo and intercooler (cooler air = denser air = more oxygen particles per cubic cm = bigger bang) does as well. Bit like blowing air on to a camp fire to get it to go better.
