Default XR Knowledge Base (AU XR6)

HI All,

I'm about to purchase my first XR falcon, and am interested in find out as much about the models and any specific details i can about specific models.

I have owned many fords in the past, falcons, fairlanes, cortinas and my current beutty a 65 Mustang. Info on these old girls is relativley easy to find as it has been well documented in time.

I hope somebody or many can point me in the right direction.

Not sure if its clear what it is i'm looking for, ie, falcons for example, say GTs, model years and lines often had some special aditions like the RPO thing. Mustang also had special moments when strange things got fitted in the od factory.

So, like this XR i'm looking at is a 2002 Series III Black AU ST, Tickford - all the bells and whistles for a 6 banga, spoiler kit, leather etc. How can i find more out about this model???

Boonie

Heres a bit:

Link

I thought there was some sort of record on FPV. I can't seem to find it now.

Bit more here:

Woah... I found some more out about the AU in my little search.

AU XRs, got a Fuel Cap Holder, in their Fuel Flap.

And the Navigation System, went right where the Ash Tray is.

The ST is a kitted up XR6 VCT. Couple hundred made (cant remember the exact number) and easily the most desirable XR6 AU I know of (it comes with the works)

Oh and LG, even the AU1 XR's got the fuel cap holders

Don't get too excited fellas, both my AU's have got them, neither are XR's! LOL!

Admittedly, the S2 works better than the S1!

Oh daim, I must have one too, lol.

I believe 125 were made. I see one nearly every day around my work. Shame the owners don't really know what sort of car they really have.
