Hey guys, my xr8 ute is going in on sat for a new exhaust, im getting a dual 2 1/2 from cats into a twin in twin out muffler and dual 2 1/2 over the diff out. my question is should i fit a X or H pipe to balance them out, im told with the balance pipe it will be quieter and less barky and will produce a little more low end torque due to more scavanging effects. I currently have a the same setup but its only dual 2 1/4. Im after some more noise its loud now but you can neva have to much. Any comments or findings?

X is the new H. Go the X pipe.
Whatya doing with the 2 1/4" system? OT: LPG issues sorted today. Your intake pipe works great - keeps the backfires isolated to the airbox. Luckily haven't blown the BA Pod up, and now that it's fixed, I shouldn't have any more issues.

Thanks JC yeh i think ill go for the x pipe its only $20 more so either way. Ill probably just store it like ive stored the std one lol, its from a ute but i think it will fit a sedan but just need new tail pipes made.
Im glade the intake pipe is being made use of instead of collecting dust. What ended up being the problem? |
